Merivale

About Merivale
Merivale
Merivale is a very picturesque suburb that was once home to many of the city’s large estates. This has created a mix of large historic homes and smaller cottages, now intertwined with modern executive homes, townhouses and apartments.
This is a sought after part of Christchurch, due partly to its character, great boutique shopping and cafe/bar scene, but also because of its close proximity to the central city. Papanui Road runs through the centre of Merivale and is another main arterial route which includes many motels and hotels both north and south of Merivale Mall.
