Located on the Port Hills, Hillsborough is the most eastern hill suburb before you reach Ferrymead and then the seaside hill suburbs of Mt Pleasant, Sumner and Redcliffs. With elevated properties and views towards the sea rather than across the city, Hillsborough has a mix of residential, horticultural and light industrial/commercial properties. The suburb is also on one of the main routes through to the Port of Lyttelton, via the Lyttelton Tunnel.
